One more day till Friday, my favorite day of the week! Since I was part of a really fun blog hop yesterday I am posting my Craftwell design team project today. If you didn't get to check it out yesterday on the Craftwell blog here it is!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had this card all finished but still could not find a sentiment that I liked. So, I searched through some stamps I haven't gotten around to using yet (I'm not the only one that "collects" stamps right?) and this one just jumped out at me. It's a terrific message and fits great with this card.
Supplies
-eBosser by Craftwell and magnetic shim
-Embossing folder - Cheetah by Sizzix
-Colorbox Ink in Lilac
-Sizzix Stars Framelits ( 7/8"x3/4", 1 3/4"x1 5/8", 2 5/8"x2 1/2")
-Xyron 5 inch Creative Station; permenant adhesive refill and laminate refill
-Glitzy Glitter by Stampendous
-Stamp - Follow your own star sentiment from Unity Stamp Co April 2012 Kit of the month
- pop dots and adhesive
-scissors
-cardstock, black and white
- Tsukineko Memento Ink
First, I embossed a piece of white cardstock with the cheetah embossing folder. I then lightly applied ink onto the raised areas with a lilac ink pad. While that was drying, I cut out the stars using the platform combination - A on top, cardstock, star die facing up, magnetic shim, c plate, b plate, d plate. Then I put the stars through my Xyron using the permanent adhesive refill. I sprinkled glitter to the sticky side of the stars and then ran them through the Xyron again, this time using the 2 sided laminate refill in the Xyron. After the glitter stars were laminated, I cut off the excess laminate with my scissors. I adhered the cheetah background onto a black cardstock card and then attached the stars with pop dots. (If you find the stars aren't sticking with the pop dots, you may need to use a little glue instead). I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock, cut it out with scissors, adhered it onto black cardstock and cut that out leaving a border and attached it to the bottom right of the card.
Have a great day!

Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop!
Hi Everyone!
Welcome to the Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop! You should have arrived here after checking out Torrey's awesome project at her blog - Left Field Studio. If not, please start at the Bombshell Stamps blog so you don't miss anything!
Here's what Alison, our blog hop captain, had to say about this month's hop - "This month, the theme is "Some Like it HOT!" Figured after last month's "cold" theme, "hot" would be a good challenge to go with. And this will be easy, since ALL of the Bombshells (stamps and you REAL Bombshells out there) are all hotties."
I decided to create a card loosely based on the movie of the same name, "Some Like It Hot":
I used the "Girl's Ruin" Stamp Set (Pin-Up in Shoe) and the "To The Rescue Bombshell" Digital Stamps (Some Like It Hot Text) - both by Bombshell Stamps. The Pin-Up in Shoe stamp was stamped with Tsukineko Memento Ink and colored with Copic Markers. The "Some Like It Hot" text was printed and then die cut with ProvoCraft Fanciful Labels Embossing Folder plus Die, the oval background is a Sizzix Oval Framelits Die and embossed with the Craftwell Regency embossing folder with the eBosser. The black background paper is digital paper from the Ooh LaLa Collection by Jodie Lee (JessicaSprague.com). The film strip is washi tape that I purchased at Michael's (I can't remember if it's by Tim Holtz or Recollections -- I know, I shouldn't be losing my memory already!)
The inside is out-lined with washi tape and has a lot of room for writing a sentiment. (or story! lol.)
I also made the right side of the inside of the card a little shorter, and added washi tape to the edge so you can kind of see through the inside of the film when it's held up toward the light.
Thanks for stopping by here and hopping with Bombshell Stamps this month. Your next stop is Emily's blog to see her super cool project. Enjoy the rest of the hop!

Arrows
Hi Everyone!
I had a productive weekend and actually got to make a few cards. Below is one of them. The others will be on my blog later this week and next week. =)
The arrows are from Bombshell Stamps Indian Warrior Digital Stamp Set. The 'No Regrets' banner is from the Bombshell Stamps Girl's Ruin Stamp Set. I colored both of them in using Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries and Seedless Preserves. I embossed a piece of white cardstock with a Darice embossing folder in my eBosser and used the Seedless Preserves Ink on it.
I am linking this card up to:

Wish Necklace - Craftwell DT Project
Hi Everyone!
One of my past projects was a Cherry Blossom necklace using metal charms and Vintaj Embossing Dies/Folders. There were also two really amazing projects on the Craftwell Blog using metal and the eBosser. Caroline used Mocha 40 gauge metal by Ten Seconds Studio to make a really awesome tag. And Debi used soda cans to make a really cool hair embellishment. After seeing their two projects, I got up the courage to test out the metal charm blanks in a regular plastic embossing folder. I've never done it before and I wasn't quite sure it would work. First, I prayed to the craft gods that I wouldn't somehow harm my eBosser or the embossing folder. Then, I tested it out on an embossing folder that I wouldn't cry about if I ruined, and it worked really well. Awesome!!! So, after that test run, I took out one of my favorite Craftwell Embossing Folders called Whimsical Wishes and embossed some beautiful charms that I made into a necklace.
The platform combination for this is the same as a regular embossing folder. A plate on top, then embossing folder with the charm blanks inside, C plate, D plate on bottom. The metal charms you use should be 24gauge thick.
Supplies:
-eBosser by Craftwell
-embossing folder: Whimsical Wishes by Craftwell (letter size)
-Metal Charm Blanks: 1 - 34mm round (24gauge) and 3 small round circles (24gauge) by Vintaj
-Vintaj Patina in Verdigris
-Chain in antique brass
-jump rings
-2 seed beads
-clasp
-jewelry pliers - flat nose/needle nose; wire cutters to cut chain
-paint brush
-non stick craft surface (for painting on)
-disposable gloves
- safety glasses
- Vintaj Metal Reliefing Block
First, I placed the charms in the embossing folder on the parts that I wanted to emboss. I placed the embossing folder in the platform stack ( A plate on top, then embossing folder with the charm blanks inside, C plate, D plate on bottom.) and embossed it in the eBosser. The metal charms did mark up my embossing folder a little bit (see pic below on left), which I was concerned about, but after running a plain piece of cardstock through the embossing folder and eBosser, the cardstock came out clean and didn't have charm imprints on it (see pic below on right).
Next I sanded the embossed charms with the Vintaj Metal Reliefing Block.
Then I applied the Vintaj Patina in Verdigris with a paint brush, let the charms dry, and then sanded them again with the reliefing block.
Then I cut 2 pieces of chain at 8 inches, attached the clasp on an end of each one with jump rings, and then attached the bigger charm with 2 jump rings on the other end of the chain. To hang the smaller charms, I attached each one to a piece of chain with a jumpring ( 1 1/2 inch, 2 inch, and 2 1/2 inch chain lengths) and attached them to a jumpring with a seed bead in the middle to space them out. I then attached the jumpring to the back of the charm. (see below pic).
And now your necklace is complete and ready to wear! I haven't had an issue with the patina paint coming off, but Vintaj does make a glaze that you can put on top of it. I just haven't used it yet! Make sure to wear safety glasses (especially when cutting chain) and gloves when painting and sanding.
How cool is it that the eBosser can emboss metal charms with a regular embossing folder?! I'm super excited about it. Now, I'm thinking I may need two of each embossing folder from now on -- one for paper and one for metal.
If you have any questions please ask below. Have you tried embossing or cutting anything besides cardstock with your eBosser?
Happy Crafting!
