Hi Everyone!
It's party time!!! Carta Bella's collection, Alphabet Junction, is great for making birthday cards. This line is so fun and colorful! The card I made this week could work for either a kid's birthday or for the adult that's really a kid at heart.
Supplies:
-Craftwell eBosser
-Craftwell eCraft
-SCAL3
-Carta Bella Alphabet Junction Collection Kit
-Sizzix Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Bigz Die
-ProvoCraft Cuttlebug Happy Birthday Embossing Folder
-Unity Stamp Company - It's A Party Stamp (Elephant)
-Queen & Co Self Adhesive Pearls in Nightfall (3 pcs)
- Pop Dots
- Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive
-Colored Pencils in Red and Green
-Tsukineko Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black
-Scoring Tool
-Paper Trimmer
- Scissors
How To:
First, with the eCraft cut an 11 inch wide by 9 inch height rectangle out of the striped paper and score it down the middle, so you have a 5.5w x 9h inch card.
Next, cut out the bracket shaped card element from the Alpha Cards paper (with scissors or paper trimmer) and glue it down to the blue paper. Cut the blue paper down (with paper trimmer) so you have a little bit of a border around the bracket shaped card element and glue this on an angle towards the top of the card. Ink up the elephant stamp and stamp it onto the blue paper. When dry, cut the stamped image out with scissors leaving a little bit of a border around the outside of the elephant. (Using colored pencils I colored in some of the image.) Adhere the elephant to the middle of the bracket shape with pop dots. Cut down the banner sticker, place pop dots underneath to adhere to the top of the bracket card element. See above picture for reference.
Next, using the eCraft and SCAL3 cut out a 4 inch wide by 3 inch height rectangle and emboss with the Happy Birthday embossing folder in the eBosser. Adhere the embossed paper to the bottom of the card. Using the alphabet stickers, spell out the word PARTY! and adhere to the blue embossed rectangle with pop dots. (I first stuck the letters onto the green paper and then cut them out with scissors leaving a border around them before adhering with pop dots). Take the flower circles border sticker, cut down to 4 inches wide and adhere to the bottom of the blue embossed rectangle with pop dots.
Using the eBosser and the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die, cut out 3 of the small flower (about 1 inch wide) and 3 of the next smallest flower (which is almost 2 inches wide) out of pink paper. Next, emboss the flowers with the eBosser and the Happy Birthday embossing folder.
Adhere a small flower on top of the bigger flower and adhere with glue onto the card per picture. Repeat with remaining two flowers. Then add a black flat backed pearl to the middle of each flower.
The card is completed and now you are ready for a party!
