Life's A Party - eCraft DT Tuesday

Happy Tuesday!

Today I have a really fun project that would be great for a hostess if you are going to a party.  Or for yourself if you are hosting a party!

This gift box is great for holding the wine glass charms and a gift card. It also makes a fun table decoration!

- Martini Gift Box -
From the SVG Cuts Kit, Amelie's Accessories, open the pieces of the Eiffel Tower Box and place them on 4 seperate tabs in SCAL3 at the recommended sizes.  You will not be using the Eiffel Tower for this project so you don't need to open this svg up. Cut out the svg's labeled - box (bottom), top (small square), and lace with your eCraft.

On the tab with the Lid svg, open up SVG Cuts Paula's Boutique Collection and import the Martini Bottom SVG.  Resize the Martini to 1 1/2 inches wide and place this in the middle of the lid svg.  You can also use the SCAL3 Preview button to make sure the martini is lined up in the middle of the lid.  Once it is placed to your liking, you can cut out this lid (with martini in the middle) with your eCraft.

Next, I took my Fiskars 1/4 inch Star Hand Punch and punched some stars out of some of my scrap papers.  I then took a piece of clear acetate and cut it down (with scissors) a little smaller than the top and adhered 3 sides of the acetate to the top piece (small square) with my Xyron Mega Runner.  I then put the punched stars in the opening and sealed it with double sided tape.  (see above picture).

I then assembled the box together with my Xyron Mega Runner and added the "eat, drink & be merry" and "cheers!" stickers with pop dots in the corners.  On the other corners I used my Epiphany Crafts Tools (Shape Studio Tool Star 25 and Button Studio Tool Round 14 with their adhesive accessories) Star and Round 14 Buttons.

- Wine Glass Charms -
For these fun wine glass charms, I first cut out four 1 inch circles with my eCraft.  I then punched out 4 stars with the Star 25 Epiphany Crafts Studio Tool using no epoxies.
I viewed a YouTube video by Sara Sandberg (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ckkcnQEEYw) and couldn't wait to try out flattening the bottle caps with my Cuttlebug!  So using her tutorial, I flattened the bottlecaps and then adhered a circle and star in the middle of each flattened cap using the Xyron 1.5 inch Creative Station.  I used my two-hole metal punch to put a small hole in the top of each cap and then attached a jump ring to the bottle caps.  For the wire, I just used my pliers to add a small loop at one end and twisted the wire around to form a funky shape large enough to fit around the stem of a wine glass.  Slide on one of the bottle caps and bend the other end of the wire so it fits into the small loop.

I hope you enjoyed this project! If you have any questions please ask below or in the Craftwell forum!
