eCraft DT Tuesday

Hi Everyone!

Have you ever seen a piece of cardstock and you immediately had a project idea pop into your mind?

That's exactly what happened to me when I saw this high-gloss de-lights holographic foil cardstock in champagne bubbles by Worldwin Papers.  I was immediately drawn to this silver foil cardstock that shimmers gorgeous pinks, blues, greens and yellows when it hits the light at a certain angle.  It's absolutely gorgeous!  (Okay, I admit it, I like shiny and sparkly things, so it's no surprise that I love this cardstock.)

It is the perfect cardstock for an Anniversary Card that I needed to make for a friend.  But, this card is so versatile it could also be used for a Birthday Card, New Year's Card, or any celebration to cheers about!

Supplies:
eCraft
SCAL3
Cardstock: WorldWin Papers - 1 piece of 12x12 High-Gloss De-Lights Holographic Foils in Champagne Bubbles, 1 piece 8.5x11 High-Gloss Stripes in Black Stripes, 1 piece of 8.5x11 Pearlescents Swirl Cardstock (white); www.worldwinpapers.com (I found that their cardstock cuts beautifully in the eCraft)
SVG's:  Lettering Delights - Love Me Do Cut It Set (champagne glasses); LD Carefree Black Font
Adhesive: Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive and Pop Dots
Twine:  The Twinery - Charcoal Black Bakers Twine
Tools: Scoring Board; Scorer; Paper Trimmer

How To:
First, using a paper trimmer, cut the piece of champagne bubble cardstock to 6x12 inches.  Then score one piece in half using a scorer and scoring board so it is now a 6x6 inch card.
Next, using SCAL3 and eCraft, import a basic square onto the screen and resize it to 5x5 inches and cut it out in the black stripe cardstock.
In SCAL3 import the champagne glasses from Lettering Delights Love Me Do Cut It Set and resize it to 3 inches wide.  Select the layers of the champagne glasses and right click and hit ungroup.  Remove the top layer and delete it (layer with diamond bubble cut outs on it - you won't need this layer for this card).  Un-layer the glasses and champagne layer and cut out the champagne glasses using your eCraft in the pearlescent white cardstock and the champagne layer (cut out 2x, you will need 2 sets of this layer) in the silver champagne bubble cardstock.
Next using the LD Carefree Black Font spell out - CHEERS! - at text size 1.5 inches and cut this out using the eCraft in pearlescent white cardstock.
Now that all the elements are cut out, it's time to assemble the card!
Cut a piece of black twine to 6 inches, adhere one end to the top of the back of the black cardstock and wrap around the front, then adhere the other end to the other side of the back of the black cardstock.  Cut a 4 inch piece of black twine and tie it into a bow, adhere with glue to the top left of the black cardstock on top of the twine that's already there.  Trim the ends as short as you'd like. (See picture).
Adhere the first set of the champagne layer svg to the white champagne glasses.  Then take the 2nd champagne layer and adhere on top of the first set using Pop Dots underneath to add some dimension.  Adhere this to the black striped cardstock, about 1/4 of an inch below the twine.  Next, adhere the CHEERS! letters to the bottom of the black striped cardstock.
Take the 6x6 champagne cardstock and hold it so the fold is at the top, then adhere the black stripe cardstock (with the elements on it) to the middle.

And there you have it -- a really cool, sparkly card for any celebration!

If you have any questions just ask!
Hope you all have a great Tuesday!

- Kim
