It's Tiki Time!

Happy Hump Day!  Welcome to the Bombshell Stamps Blog Hop!

You should have arrived here from Glittery Katie's blog, if not please start at the Bombshell Stamps blog so you don't miss anything!

As you may know from hopping this month's hop by now, the theme for this blog hop is banners.  I made a tiki banner using my favorite little tiki dudes!  Please pardon my pictures, a rainy day and then night time did not do this banner well.

Below are some close-ups.  Photographing this banner was quite challenging!

This Tiki dude was colored with Spectrum Noir markers TN8, TN7, and TN2.  I also broke apart a Hawaiian lei (from the dollar store), sewed two of the layers together and then used the Epiphany Crafts Circle tool to create an epoxy circle for the middle of the flower with the Cocktails, Music and Fun stamps.

The Tiki Letters were made from the Tiki bamboo stick stamp from the Tiki Party stamp set and colored in with GB10, OR1, and GB5.

Have I mentioned I *love* these Tiki guys?!  They are so cute and fun to color.  They are from the Tiki Party Stamp Set.   The above was colored with EB5, GB10, and GB5.

The hibiscus flowers are from the Hula Girl Stamp Set and then colored also with Spectrum Noirs. The green paper is fabric backed banana leaf paper found at A Cherry On Top.

I also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to add some more texture into the banner.

Now I'm off to find myself a nice frosty drink and your next stop on the hop is over to Michelle's blog to see her fabulous project!

Thank you for hopping with us!

Happy Cinco De Mayo!

The Bombshell Stamps May Sketch is up!  Play along with us this month using your Bombshell Stamps and link up to the inlinkz at the bottom of the Bombshell blog for a chance to win a stamp set.  If you make it a Cinco De Mayo related card you get an extra chance to win!

  Here's the sketch for May:
I flipped the sketch and made a Fiesta card using Bombshell Angel, Calaveras Fiesta, and the Bombshell Clothing Die Cut Collection.
Bombshell Angel and the margarita and sombrero (from Calaveras Fiesta) were colored with Prisma colored pencils and fussy cut out.  The dress and shawl from the Bombshell Clothing Die Cut Collection were cut out with SCAL3 and my Silhouette Cameo.  I added the red and green stripes onto the clothing with Copic markers. The 'fiesta pennants' are by Sweet Afton and 'fiesta word art' is by Samantha Walker from the Silhouette online store which I cut out in white cardstock with my Cameo.  The pennants, fiesta, and the rectangle cardstock were colored with Colorbox Fiesta Cat's Eye Queue by Clearsnap.  I also added a lot of pop dots for dimension.
Thanks for checking out my fiesta card!  Don't forget to link up yours at the Bombshell Stamps blog!

Have a Happy Cinco De Mayo!

Happy May!

Hi All!

It's the beginning of May, so that means it's time for some new challenges at Bombshell Stamps.  The May Pin-Up Challenge has been posted at the Bombshell Stamps Blog.  Ms. May challenged us to a really cool challenge, pretty much a double challenge! It's a color and a texture challenge.  The colors are grey and jade, gold, silver white.  The textures are dry embossing, ribbons, glitters, etc.

Here's my card for the challenge:

I used the Lucky Bride Stamp Set because I thought the colors would make a really great invitation/card for a bride that doesn't like pink.  (Yes, I realize everyone doesn't like pink as much as I do.)

So come play along with us at the Bombshell Stamps Blog for your chance to win a Bombshell Stamp Set!  All you have to do is use your Bombshell Stamps, create a project using Ms. May's Challenge and link it up to the inlinkz button at the bottom of the Ms. May Challenge Blog Post.

Have a great day!
