Leap Into Action! February Blog Hop @ Bombshell Stamps

The theme for this month's Hump Day Hop at Bombshell Stamps is Leap Into Action!   Since, it's leap year and the hop falls on Leap Day - Alison, the hostess, has challanged us to make a project with our Bombshell's where they are heroes.

You should have arrived here from Kickisen's blog. If not, be sure to check out the blog hop list below!

For my card, I dressed up my Bombshell Angel with the Police Officer digital stamp outfit.

Some of this card was made using my electronic cutter (the eCraft) and the program SureCutsALot3 (SCAL3).  The card, rectangle and oval were created with SCAL3's basic shapes and the font is also from SCAL3 with a shadow background layer.  These were then cut with my eCraft machine.

I also broke out my embossing folders to add some texture.  The bombshell officer was stamped and printed (this is a mix of rubber stamps and digital stamps), colored in with copics, fussy cut with my scissors (fancy cut? I've heard both... pretend I just said whichever you prefer!), and then adhered to the blue oval with some pop dots to give this card some dimension. I also used Copics on the edges of some of my elements instead of ink.

Your next stop is Kathi's blog. Head on over and see what awesome project she has come up with!

Hope you are enjoying the Hump Day Hop!!  Happy Leap Day!

Here's the Hop List in case you have wandered off the path.

Some Like It Hot...

Here's a card I made for the February Sketch Challange over at Bombshell Stamps.  I flipped the sketch for my card.

I stamped the skull and crossbones stamp from the "Love and Luck" Stamp Set onto white paper to make the background that the Lil' Devil is in front of. The quote is from the "To The Rescue Bombshell" Digital Stamp Set.

Bitter Sweet Love

The February Challange over at Bombshell Stamps is to show the good and the bad side of love.  So, I went with the whole heaven and hell theme.  When things are going great in love, you feel like you are on cloud nine, the sun's shining, roses are blooming, there's probably something singing in the background somewhere...  But when things are going not so great, you can feel like you are in the fiery pits of hell.

So here's my Heaven and Hell Valentine Gift Box.  And as always, my supply list is at the end of the post.

How awesome are these stamps?!  I love them!

Some pretty cherry blossom flowers on the sides.

The dress is a die cut from Bombshell Stamps that I embossed.  I love that you can mix and match Bombshell Pin-up's outfits with these die cuts!

I used Pop Dots to add dimension to some of the elements on this box.

Thanks for looking!

Question:: What does a monkey have to do with St. Patty's Day?!

Answer::  Not a thing!

But Lettering Delights has the new sets by Nancy Kubo up for sale now, and this monkey is adorable!  Then I saw Jin's cute new banner featuring this monkey at Under A Cherry Tree.  I couldn't help it, I just had to make something!  So, since I am in need of some St. Patrick's Day cards, I thought what the heck, this monkey is ready for a party!

I used three different svg sets for this card, make sure you check them out at the end of the post!

I added some Pop Dots under these shamrocks to add some dimension to the card.
So cute!!!

Love You Sew, Valentine...

This is one of my submissions for the SVG Cuts Valentine's Day Contest on their facebook page.  Please scroll down for more pictures and a list of supplies used.

The bottom of the sewing machine is also a gift box.  It would be great for candy or sewing notions.

This is my favorite part of the sewing machine!  The wheel on the back is a flourish from the SVGCuts kit "Romantic Flourishes" and I just welded it into the middle of a circle using SCAL3.

This lever card is from Winter's Chill Collection and the dress form is from Crafty Mice Collection, both by SVG Cuts.

Thanks for looking!  Please see below for my list of supplies used.

You Make My Heart Flutter...

Happy February!

There's only 9 days left until Valentine's Day, how's everyones Valentines Crafts coming along?!  I still have alot left to make.

Today I want to share a different kind of Valentine project I made.  I didn't use traditional Valentine colors, in fact, I didn't even use a Valentine paper line!  I used the oh so beautiful Victoria Gardens line by Echo Park.

Warning: This post is picture heavy.

This corset heart with wings is a gift box!  Can you guess what's inside?

Yeah, I think you're supposed to read the card before you open the gift right?  It's the nice thing to do!

The rose is from Crush On You Boxes SVG Kit by SVG Cuts - the leaves are just some extra green hearts I had leftover from the gift box.

The corset heart is made up from a heart from the Love Me Do Collection Kit and the freebie svg file Lover's Lace (both from SVG Cuts) - I just broke apart the heart and welded the lace on in SCAL3.  I also had to break apart the hearts on the lace so I could rotate them to be the way I needed them to be.
Now it's time to unlace this heart - you want a peek at the gift inside right?

Ha! Not yet!  Yeah, I tricked ya!  Ok, grab that piece of twine and unravel it from that cute lil pink heart and pull that door open...

The heart shaped box is from the Love Me Do Collection Kit @ SVG Cuts.  I just added a small heart in the middle of all the heart top files so I could make a window.

Yep... Candy!!!!  Probably just as you suspected from the beginning of this post.  Well, you could have just opened the box the regular way, but come on!  Wasn't this way more fun?!?

Hope ya liked my Valentine candy gift box!
