Headstone Skeleton Earrings

Have you created any jewelry with your rubber or clear acrylic stamps?  It's one of my favorite ways to use a stamped image.

I made this pair of earrings with the Headstone Skeleton stamp from the Dead Necessities Stamp Set by Bombshell Stamps.

Have a Crafty Saturday!

Ombre Fan Earrings

Hey Everyone!

I'm playing along with Sweet Stamp Shop's Use What You Have Challenge #17.
I decided to use some beads and wire that have kind of just been sitting around in my stash.  Here's a pic:
And here's what I did with them:
I used the above beads and wire along with Sweet Stamp Shop's fan shaped stamp to make this pair of Ombre Earrings. I also used Hero Arts inks in neon pink and neon blue and blended them together.  I got the idea to make these while I was making the neon sugar skulls card earlier this month (using the same stamp set) and finally got around to finishing them.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Happy Craftin!

Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop

Happy Hump Day!

This month, Alison our Challenge Captain, has chosen the theme "Speed Demons: Masters of Transportation." You also should have arrived here from Alison's blog.  If not, please start at the beginning at the Bombshell Stamps Blog so you don't miss any cool projects!  I chose to use the Vintage Motorcycle Stamp Set for my card along with the September Sketch

Here's the September Sketch:

And here's my Speed Demon Motorcycle card:

I inked the vintage motorcycle stamp in Tsukineko Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and colored it with Spectrum Noir Markers.  The card base and elements were cut out with the Silhouette Cameo using basic shapes in Silhouette Studio DE.  The orange rectangle and blue circle were both colored with Spectrum Noir Markers.  Both orange and white rectangles were embossed in the Cuttlebug with a cool lightning bolt/nuts & bolts embossing folder by ProvoCraft.  The sentiment was inked with Hero Arts Neon Green Ink.  This card is actually a lot more neon in real life, I just had a hard time photographing it.

If you haven't linked up your take on the September Sketch, what are you waiting for?!  Link it up here -- Bombshell Stamps September Sketch Challenge.  There's still a few days left, all you have to do is use your Bombshell Stamps and base your project on the sketch.

Thanks for hopping along with us!  Your next hop is over to Glittery Katie's Blog.

Rosie the Riveter

Hi Everyone!

Bombshell Stamps has some exciting news!  If you haven't already heard, they are releasing a Rosie the Riveter Digital Stamp Set!  Wooohooo!  This set is awesome.  I created a card with it.
I used the Print N Cut feature on my Silhouette to print and cut out Rosie and the 'We Can Do It' sentiment.  Next, I colored them in with Spectrum Noir Markers.  I would have liked to color Rosie a little darker and not made her so pale, but my markers are running out and I need to get some refills.  I printed out the background papers on Bazzill Cardstock.  They are from Graphic 45's Transatlantique Collection - which is from Echo Park's Photo Freedom Collection available at JessicaSprague.com.  I also added two small buttons from my stash with a little twine.

Happy Craftin!

Rise and Shine!

It's Muse Monday over at Bombshell Stamps and this month the "Rise and Shine" Stamp Set is being featured.  I created a card featuring this set.  (Psstt... this stamp set is also on sale this month! The Link to it in Bombshell Stamps store is here).

I stamped the image in Tsukineko Memento ink in Tuxedo Black.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and colored the Bombshell with pink hair to change it up from the 'normal' hair colors.  The ovals were cut out with my Silhouette.  I love how easy the Silhouette makes cutting out nested shapes.  The 'Time Flies' sentiment was also stamped in Memento ink.

Check out the Bombshell Stamps blog (here) to see what the rest of the DT came up with!

Thanks for stopping by!

Fabulous Friday Tutorial - Bombshell Garland Banner

Hooray for Friday!  Here's my Fabulous Friday Tutorial that's up on Bombshell Stamps Blog today.  Happy Weekend!
- Kim
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Happy Friday Bombshells!

Kim here with a Fabulous Friday Tutorial - creating a Happy Haunting Garland Banner using 3 Bombshell Stamps Sets. Muertos Doll, Bone Font, and those little bats from Holiday Accessory.  Let's get to it!

Supplies Needed:
-Bombshell Stamps - Muertos Doll, Bone Font, Holiday Accessory
-Tsukineko Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black
-Spectrum Noir Markers- IG4, IG2, IG1   (or your favorite coloring utensil!)
-Tsukineko Memento Archival Ink Pad Brilliance in Moonlight White
-Sewing Machine and needle (I used a standard sewing machine needle)
-Black Thread
-Adhesive - small Glue Dots and Scotch Tape
-Electronic Cutting Machine (or 1 inch circle punch or 1 inch die and diecut machine)
-Black Cardstock
-Patterned Cardstock - Halloween themed (I used Authentique's Enchanted line from last year)
-White Cardstock (for stamping and coloring the skeletons)
-Scissors

First I cut out 1 inch circles in black and patterned cardstock.  I used my Silhouette but any electronic cutting machine, 1 inch punch or die will work.  There is 3 rows of garland in this project and the stamped row is all black circles - so you will need 38 black circles.  For the other 2 rows you will need a total of 78 circles - I used a combination of black and patterned cardstock on those.
Next using white ink I stamped the letters from Bone Font onto the middle of the circles to spell out Happy Haunting and also inked 2 each of both sized bats from Holiday Accessory.  Once dry, I flipped the circles over from the bottom to the top and stamped the letter/bat on the back of the circle so this way if the garland flips it will read Happy Haunting both ways and none of the letters will be upside down.
After everything was dry, I laid out the pattern (and correct spelling) of how I wanted the garland.
Time to sew!  I broke out my sewing machine, changed the bobbin to black thread, loaded the black thread on the top and began sewing the pattern.
For the Happy Haunting strand first sew - 7 plain black circles spaced about half inch apart (this is for the left side).  The middle pattern to sew is 1 black circle, 1 large bat, 1 black circle, 1 small bat, 1 black, the happy bone font circles, 1 black, the haunting circles, 1 black, 1 small bat, 1 black, 1 large bat, 1 black and these are spaced closer together then the sides. Then sew the 7 black circles for the right side spaced the same as the left. (This is all one strand).
For the next two strands sew the following pattern with your patterned and black cardstock - 7 circles spaced about a half inch apart (for the left side), 25 circles for the middle (sewn closer together then the sides), then 7 circles for the right (spaced same as the left).  I basically just did 1 black circle, 1 patterned cardstock circle and repeated for the last 2 strands.
Once all 3 strands are sewn, I took the first and last black circles of the middle section of each strand and adhered them together with glue dots.  At this point I trimmed the leftover thread at the bottoms of the strands too.
Carefully, place this garland to the side.  Mine got twisted a few times and it wasn't really fun to untangle.  On to the skeletons!  I stamped the Muertos Doll skeleton pieces twice on a piece of white cardstock, colored them with Spectrum Noir Markers and then fussy cut them out with my scissors.
Then I assembled the skeletons the way I wanted them posed and adhered them together using a glue dot on each tab and on the heart.
On the back of the skeleton's skulls attached a piece of looped knotted thread with a glue dot and a small piece of scotch tape.  It's holding pretty well.
The last step is to adhere the garland to the skeletons,  I took the cluster of 3 black circles that I had glued previously and attached them to the front of the Muertos Doll Skeletons using glue dots.
And that's it! A Halloween garland banner ready for a good party.
Happy Friday, Happy Craftin' and Happy Haunting!

Neon Sugar Skulls

I love a good sketch challenge, so I'm playing along with Mojo Monday's Sketch 310 today!

Here's the sketch:

And here's my take:
As you can tell, I had fun with this one.  I used the Dia De Los Muertos stamp set from Sweet Stamp Shop and a whole lotta neon.  The Sugar Skulls were colored with LetraSet Neon Pro Markers.  The rest of the stamps were inked with Hero Arts Neon ink and Ranger Archival Ink in Jet Black.  The dotted border was created with a neon pink Gelly Roll pen.  I used pop dots underneath the sugar skulls and black banner for added dimension.
Thanks for stopping by today!

It's Zombie Time...

Hey All!  I really got some lead way done on moving and cleaning my craft space so, now that it's just odds and ends to put away I'm hoping to get a lot more crafting done.  Hooray!  And just in time to start Halloween projects!  I still need to find a good way to organize my dies without breaking the bank, so if you have any suggestions please let me know as I definitely appreciate it!

I used one of the cool zombie stamps from Sweet Stamp Shop for this card and items from my crafty stash.

Here's some of the stash:

 And here's my card:
I colored the zombie and sentiment stamps with Spectrum Noir Markers and fussy cut them out.
I also used a Sizzix embossing folder, Cuttlebug, pink and white twine, pop dots, neon green gelly roll pen, black pearl bling, and DCWV cardstock from my stash.

Ms. September's Challenge at Bombshell Stamps

Today Ms. September has issued her challenge over at Bombshell Stamps blog.  It is "Layer It Up!" and you must use at least 3 layers of something on your project -- ribbon, cardstock, bows, etc.

I used 4 layers of cardstock - white, orange, purple, and white.  I also used 3 layers of stamped images.
The Coffins and Spiderwebs are from Bombshell Stamps "Dead Necessities" Stamp Set. I inked them in Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The coffins were colored in with Spectrum Noir Markers and I used pop dots in between the layers.  The twine is by Doodlebug.  Don't mind my bow, I kinda stink at making them.  The sentiment, "Carpe Noctem" is from the 'Trick or Treat' Set by Punkin Patch Stamps (SVG Cuts).

Come play along with us this month in Ms. September's Challenge!  Click here to see what the rest of the Bombshell Girls and Pin-Ups created for this challenge.  Also link up your take using the inlinkz at the bottom of their post.  All you need to do is use your Bombshell Stamps and layer it up!

Happy Craftin'!
