I have been thinking of a bunch of ideas for making ornaments using my eBosser and I'm getting to work making them! I have a ton of those clear glass Christmas ornaments in my craft room, so I decided to use those for my first project.
These ornaments are easy to make! See below for the tutorial.
-clear glass Christmas ball ornaments
-solid colored cardstock
-Embossing Folders - Sizzix Frost (Basic Grey) & Sizzix PostCard (Tim Holtz)
-Dies - ProvoCraft - Cuttlebug 2 x 2 Snowflake Die; Cuttlebug 2x2 Die Music Note #1; Cuttlebug 2x2 Die Music Note #2
Using a paper trimmer cut down your cardstock to two 4 x 5 1/2 inch pieces. Next, using your eBosser, emboss each sheet of cardstock. Cut the embossed cardstock pieces into 1/4 inch strips with a paper trimmer. Then push the strips into the clear glass ornament. (I used the tip end of a paintbrush to help push some of the cardstock into the ornament and up the side of it. It also helps to curl the strips a little bit before placing them in.) After you have the strips inside, place the cap back onto the top of the ball.
Then cut out the snowflakes (or music notes or your preferred die) in white vinyl with your eBosser and stick them onto the outside of your ornament. Take a piece of twine and tie it to the top of the ornament so it can hang from a tree branch.
These ornaments are so easy to make and customize, they are great for presents or for your own tree!
