Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop!

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to the Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop! You should have arrived here after checking out Torrey's awesome project at her blog - Left Field Studio. If not, please start at the Bombshell Stamps blog so you don't miss anything!

Here's what Alison, our blog hop captain, had to say about this month's hop - "This month, the theme is "Some Like it HOT!" Figured after last month's "cold" theme, "hot" would be a good challenge to go with. And this will be easy, since ALL of the Bombshells (stamps and you REAL Bombshells out there) are all hotties."

I decided to create a card loosely based on the movie of the same name, "Some Like It Hot":

Sorry for the super large picture! For some reason it was really distorted when I tried to make it smaller.

I used the "Girl's Ruin" Stamp Set (Pin-Up in Shoe) and the "To The Rescue Bombshell" Digital Stamps (Some Like It Hot Text) - both by Bombshell Stamps.  The Pin-Up in Shoe stamp was stamped with Tsukineko Memento Ink and colored with Copic Markers.  The "Some Like It Hot" text was printed and then die cut with ProvoCraft Fanciful Labels Embossing Folder plus Die, the oval background is a Sizzix Oval Framelits Die and embossed with the Craftwell Regency embossing folder with the eBosser.  The black background paper is digital paper from the Ooh LaLa Collection by Jodie Lee (JessicaSprague.com).  The film strip is washi tape that I purchased at Michael's (I can't remember if it's by Tim Holtz or Recollections -- I know, I shouldn't be losing my memory already!)

The inside is out-lined with washi tape and has a lot of room for writing a sentiment. (or story! lol.)

I also made the right side of the inside of the card a little shorter, and added washi tape to the edge so you can kind of see through the inside of the film when it's held up toward the light.

Thanks for stopping by here and hopping with Bombshell Stamps this month. Your next stop is Emily's blog to see her super cool project. Enjoy the rest of the hop!

- Kim
